Holding Tight to Yourself While the World Accelerates It has been a minute since I’ve written an Intuitive Astrology email. Life has been moving fast — in my own business, in client sessions, and in my inner spiritual landscape — and I had to step back, put my feet on the ground, and listen before I tried to speak for the collective again. You can’t pour from an overstimulated cup. Before we begin, here are the main takeaways: Pluto retrograde invites inner reflection, asks you to notice personal patterns, and encourages choosing integrity over impulse. Pluto moved retrograde on May 6th in Aquarius, and it will stay there until October 16th. This season isn’t asking you to go faster. It’s asking you to go inward. What Pluto Retrograde Actually Is Pluto rules the underworld of our psyche — truth, power, shame, control, and soul-level honesty. Retrograde simply means that the energy turns inward rather than outward. Pluto retrograde in Aquarius is a deep audit of the ways we hand our power over to the crowd, to trends, to systems, to “what everyone else is doing.” It surfaces the places we’d rather blame someone else than face our own uncomfortable growth edge. It reveals the habits of distraction and spiritual bypass we reach for when we don’t want to feel what’s actually alive in us. On the surface, life may feel fast, noisy, and electric. But underneath, Pluto is whispering: Come in here first. Sit with your own truth before you project it outward. The Temptation to Deflect When the pressure rises, it’s so easy to say: If they would just change, I’d be okay. It’s this job. This relationship. This algorithm. The collective energy is just too much right now. And sometimes there’s truth in that. But Pluto retrograde isn’t letting us stop there. This season is asking: Where am I abandoning myself instead of setting a boundary? Where am I reacting from old trauma, old identity, old stories that no longer fit who I am becoming? Where am I looking for a villain outside so I don’t have to sit with my own unmet grief, rage, or fear? This is not about blaming yourself. It’s about reclaiming the only power you actually have — your participation, your choices, your alignment. How This Might Be Showing Up For You You may notice old versions of yourself resurfacing — patterns, behaviors, or people that pull you back into an outdated identity. A strong urge to clean house, in friendships, online spaces, work commitments, or energetic ties. Sudden clarity about where you’ve been dimming or people-pleasing. Emotional waves that don’t entirely match the present moment, because you’re finally feeling the backlog of what you’ve been too busy to process. Pluto retrograde says: Don’t rush past this. It’s not a crisis. It’s a sacred recalibration. A Different Kind of Trust Walk If I had to give this season an image, it’s not running across hot coals to prove your power. It’s walking at night with a lantern that only lights the next few steps. One day at a time. One honest check-in at a time. You don’t get the full map. You get your body, your breath, your Yes, and your No. A few ways to walk this path with yourself: • When you’re triggered, pause and ask: What part of me is speaking right now? How old does this feel? • Before you vent about someone, ask: What is this person mirroring back to me about my own unmet needs or unexpressed truth? • When you feel the urge to escape — to scroll, shop, overwork, over-help — ask: What am I trying not to feel? What would happen if I gave it 60 seconds in my body? This is uncomfortable medicine. And it is deeply liberating. Every time you pause and choose inner inquiry instead of outward blame, you unwind an old contract with powerlessness. What Else Is Moving in the Sky Right Now Pluto retrograde isn’t happening alone. Other transits shape the energy ahead. Days may feel like go, then stop. Each of these energies is a thread in the larger story we are all moving through. Mars moves into Taurus on May 20th and stays through June 28th. This is a welcome exhale after a season of fast movement. Mars in Taurus slows the energy of action down and roots it in the body. You may feel less impulsive and more deliberate — and that is a gift, not a problem. This is a powerful window for building real stamina, committing to what’s sustainable, and making changes that actually stick rather than chasing quick fixes. The shadow here is stubbornness. Notice if you are resisting change, not because it’s wrong, but because it’s unfamiliar or uncomfortable. Tend your nervous system. Take consistent small steps. Let your roots go deeper rather than pushing harder. The Sun enters Gemini on May 21st and remains through June 20th. This is a month of mental movement, conversation, and curiosity. Your attention naturally goes to questions, ideas, and the stories you tell yourself and others. This is an excellent window to notice the scripts running in your head — is your mind still running on old programming, or are you ready to rewrite the ones that no longer match who you are becoming? Use this time to question old narratives, listen more closely, and practice speaking from truth rather than from habit or projection. Mercury is also in Gemini now through June 1st. The collective mind is quick, alert, and busy right now. Insights come fast. Conversations move quickly. There is a buzz in the mental field. Use it for learning, writing, planning, and connecting dots — but watch for scattered attention or overthinking, especially if you’re using mental noise to avoid deeper feelings that are asking for your presence. The main takeaway for this season: Slow down to gain clarity, reflect honestly, and act from integrity — not from impulse. Get to know the new version of YOU! For the Collective On a larger scale, Pluto retrograde in Aquarius is pressing on our relationship to community, technology, collective narratives, and who actually gets a voice in the future being built. We are being asked to notice where we hand our inner authority to the loudest voice in the room — or to systems that were never designed with our souls in mind. Your job is not to fix the whole world. Your job is to become a clear, honest, self-owned cell within the greater body of humanity. When more of us are willing to do that, the collective field actually changes. A Blessing for This Season May this season bring you back to the core of who you are — beneath other people’s stories, projections, and expectations. May you have the courage to see the patterns that are ready to be loved into transformation, and the tenderness to hold yourself while you do. May you remember that your power doesn’t live in controlling others — it lives within the quiet, consistent choices you make to stay in integrity with your own soul.
